At Douze Bakery, we believe everyone deserves great dessert, made with care and flair. We bake desserts in multiple varieties: vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and gluten-free vegan so everyone can dig in.

Gluten-free and Vegan Item Info
Everything we bake is available in multiple variations: vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, and gluten-free vegan. We are not a certified gluten-free facility because we bake conventional and gluten-free items in the same kitchen (at different times, on clean and sanitized equipment), in the same oven.
If you have celiac disease or a food allergy, please email before you place an order (douzebakery@gmail.com) to ensure you feel safe ordering our products.
All of our baked goods are made with vegan-friendly sugar. Our gluten-free items are made with gluten-free flours and ingredients. We offer vegan-friendly and gluten-free food colouring in items that require it. The chocolate chips we use are vegan certified. The 55% cacao dark chocolate pastilles we use in our vegan items are made in Belgium and are vegan.

We do not ship or deliver orders. We are a contactless bakery. To obtain your order we offer contactless PORCH PICKUP (FREE) at 133 Grange Street, Stratford, ON N5A 3P9.

Our Story
Get to know Danielle of Douze Bakery
Douze Bakery is the passion project of our founder, Danielle Dewar. Douze is French for 12, like a dozen cookies, and is Danielle's long time nickname. A professionally trained baker, she used to work as a pastry person at Clafouti Patisserie, a now closed but once celebrated bake shop in Toronto, and also ran her own healthy cookie and pie business which served Toronto farmers markets, cafes and yoga studios. Danielle also created an award-winning plant based gluten free food blog called Baking Backwards. Her recipes have been featured in online and print publications including Glamour Magazine, Gluten Free Canada and One Green Planet. She left the baking world to focus on her career in marketing but has always wanted to reopen her own shop. Ready to embrace baking professionally again, Danielle runs Douze Bakery part time from home in her health department certified kitchen. She is a certified food handler.
